Data collected by the app
Polar Roads Finland does not require an account or sign-in and does not collect, transmit, sell or share personal data through the app. The app contains no advertising SDK, analytics SDK, behavioural tracking or in-app location tracking.
The app stores the selected language, learning progress and Bucket List Bingo board/progress locally on the user’s device. Android cloud backup is disabled for the app, so this local progress data is not backed up by the app through Android’s backup infrastructure and is not sent to NettiRatti Oy.
Retention and deletion
Local app progress remains on the device until the user clears the app’s storage/data or uninstalls Polar Roads Finland. NettiRatti Oy cannot access, restore or remotely delete this local data because it is not transmitted to the developer.
Feedback email
If the user taps the feedback button, Polar Roads Finland asks the operating system to open the user’s email application with the developer’s email address. Polar Roads Finland itself does not read or transmit the message. If the user chooses to send an email, the message and any information the user includes are processed by the user’s email provider and received by NettiRatti Oy as ordinary email.
Such correspondence is retained only as reasonably necessary to respond, provide support, maintain business records or meet legal obligations. The user may request deletion of support correspondence by contacting the privacy address above, subject to applicable legal retention requirements.
Third-party services mentioned in the content
The educational content may mention third-party services, such as 112 Suomi. Polar Roads Finland does not integrate those services or automatically send data to them. If the user independently uses a third-party service, that service’s own privacy policy applies.
Sponsored content and external links
Polar Roads Finland may in future contain clearly identified sponsored content and links to third-party websites or services. Opening such a link may transfer the user to an external website or service. Polar Roads Finland does not use an advertising SDK or behavioural advertising system for this purpose. Any information provided by the user on a third-party website is handled according to that third party’s own privacy policy.
Security
Because the app does not operate developer servers or transmit app progress to NettiRatti Oy, the locally stored progress is protected by the security controls of the user’s Android device and operating system. Email correspondence is handled using the security measures of the user’s and developer’s email providers.
Children
Polar Roads Finland is a general travel and road-safety information app and is not designed to collect personal information from children. The app does not provide account creation, advertising SDKs, analytics or social features.
Changes
If a future release adds online accounts, analytics, advertising SDKs, location processing or other data processing, this Privacy Policy and the in-app privacy notice will be updated before that release.
